Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and AlongXide Digital ("AlongXide", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the AlongXide app or website (together, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. What AlongXide is, and is not

AlongXide lets a person who needs a product from a nearby area (a "Requester") post a request, and lets a nearby person who is willing to buy and deliver that product (a "Runner") accept it. One account can act in either role.

3. Eligibility and your account

• You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement.
• You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. One person may hold only one account.
• You are responsible for keeping your password private and for all activity on your account. Tell us immediately if you believe your account has been used without permission.

4. Runner verification and limits

Before accepting any request, a Runner must verify their phone number by SMS. A Runner may also submit a government-issued ID for a separate review by authorised staff. Verification sets the maximum combined value of the requests a Runner may have open at one time:

The combined value includes the item budget, the Runner reward and any platform fee that may be configured. We may change these limits, and may decline or withdraw verification, at our discretion.

5. Requests and acceptance

• A Requester describes the product, quantity and any specifications, sets a maximum item budget and a Runner reward, chooses a delivery area and a needed-by date, and may add a reference photo.
• A Runner reviews the full request before accepting. Once accepted, the Runner agrees the buying place with the Requester and the handoff moves through recorded stages: accepted, buying, purchased, delivering, delivered and completed.
• If the item costs more than the budget, the Runner must propose the new amount and the Requester must approve it before the purchase. If the item is unavailable, the Runner reports it and the Requester may approve a substitute or cancel.
• Runners must upload a purchase receipt or a photo of the product as evidence of purchase.

6. Payment between users

We strongly recommend that Requesters inspect the item before paying, and that both users keep the agreed amounts inside the request so there is a clear record.

7. Confirming delivery

Each handoff has a one-time delivery code. The Requester shares the code with the Runner only after receiving and checking the item. Codes expire 30 minutes after they are issued and allow up to five attempts. Entering the code marks the handoff as delivered, after which the Requester can rate the Runner.

8. Cancellations, problems and support cases

• Either participant may cancel a handoff in the circumstances the app allows, for example when an item is unavailable and no substitute is approved.
• A Requester or the assigned Runner can open a support case from the handoff. Authorised support staff may review the recorded details and add notes or non-financial recommendations.
• A support case is a record for review. It is not a guarantee of refund, compensation or any financial outcome, because AlongXide does not hold any funds.

9. Rules of conduct

To keep AlongXide safe for everyone, you agree not to:

• Request, purchase, carry or deliver anything that is illegal, stolen, dangerous, age-restricted without proper checks, or otherwise prohibited by law.
• Post false or misleading information, upload fake purchase evidence, or impersonate another person.
• Harass, threaten or discriminate against another user, or use another user's information for any purpose other than completing the handoff.
• Attempt to take an exchange outside the recorded request in order to avoid these Terms, or interfere with the Service, its security or other users' accounts.
• Use the Service for any commercial resale, automated scraping or other purpose we have not approved.

10. Ratings and content

You own the content you post, such as request descriptions and photos. You give AlongXide a licence to store, display and share that content as needed to run the Service, including showing it to the other participant in a handoff. Ratings must be honest and based on your own experience. We may remove content that breaks these Terms.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using AlongXide at any time and may ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account, remove content or decline verification if we reasonably believe these Terms have been broken, if required by law, or to protect our users or the Service. Where possible we will explain why.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". Because exchanges happen directly between users, AlongXide does not guarantee the quality, safety, legality or delivery of any item, the accuracy of any request, or the conduct of any user. Verification reduces risk but does not eliminate it. You use the Service, and meet other users, at your own judgement and risk.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AlongXide Digital and its staff are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from a transaction between users, including unpaid rewards, undelivered or defective items, or payments made outside the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

14. Changes to the Service and these Terms

AlongXide is new and will keep improving. We may add, change or remove features, and we may update these Terms. If a change is significant we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.
